The Cayce Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of the Kangaroo Express at 2015 State St. on 10-24-2007 at approximately 9:30 p.m. The suspect is described as a black male approximately 5’6” to 5’9” tall and weighing between 150 and 180lbs. The suspect was wearing a dark color hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, light color gloves and pulled a yellow knit cap over his face as he entered the store.

 

The suspect presented a dark semi-automatic pistol and demanded money from the clerk. He was last seen walking away from the store on Lyles St. towards Lorick St.

 

Anyone having information that may lead to he arrest of the individual(s) involved with this crime should contact the Cayce Police Department at 803-794-0456.

SLED Agent arrested

 

A South Carolina State Law Enforcement Agent has been arrested by the Cayce Department of Public Safety.  The agent is identified as William E. Kimble, 57, of 1827 Deer Run Road, Ridgeway, SC.  Kimble was charged with “Assault with Intent to Commit Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st degree” and was booked at the Cayce Department of Public Safety at approximately 2:00 pm. The offense occurred in the City of Cayce on October 9, 2007 at approximately 5:45 pm.  The Cayce Department of Public Safety is continuing the investigation of the incident.  The victim is a 26 year old female.  Kimble appeared in bond court at the Lexington County jail this afternoon.  There are no other suspects but due to the continuing investigation Chief McNair will not disclose additional information until a later date.

 

Kimble was employed as an agent with SLED for the past 14 years and was most recently assigned to the Fugitive Task Force.  Kimble was terminated by SLED today.

 

The case will be prosecuted in the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Suspect wanted for Armed Robbery

The Cayce Department of Public Safety is investigating an Armed Robbery of the Lil’ Cricket convenience store, which is located at 1101 State St. A black male wearing a black hat, black “doo rag”, sunglasses, grey shirt with “LAKERS” printed on the front, and blue pants committed the crime. The suspect is further described as being in his 30’s, approx. 5”9” tall, 200 to 220 lbs and having grey stubbly facial hair.   

The suspect entered the store and demanded money from the clerk after producing a pistol. The suspect obtained and undisclosed sum of money from the clerk and was last seen walking out of the front door.
